Owner and Principal Designer
Welcome to my world of interior design, where sustainability meets elegance. With over 7 years of experience transforming spaces in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas, I specialize in creating high-end, thoughtful designs that reflect both beauty and responsibility. I hold a degree in Interior Design from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and am a proud member of the American Society of Interior Designers. My work has been featured in Interiors Washington DC, and I am committed to integrating sustainable practices into every project. At Whitaker Interiors, I believe that a well-designed space can transform lives. My approach is client-centric, ensuring that each design not only meets but exceeds expectations. From concept to completion, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional results that harmonize with the environment. Outside of design, I am passionate about piano, my family and snowboarding, which inspire my creative process. When I am not working on a project, you can find me at local networking events or traveling.
Quianna Blanc
Senior Designer
Quianna Blanc is a versatile artist and designer with a BFA in Interior Design and Architecture from Columbus College of Art & Design. She has excelled in roles ranging from marketing assistance, where she managed graphic and web design projects, to exhibit design, collaborating on interactive displays for a diverse clientele. Quianna is skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, SketchUp, and AutoCAD, and has been recognized for her creativity and leadership, notably with the Peer Award for her Senior Thesis at CCAD.
Dominique Phelps
Marketing Assistant
Dominique Phelps is a detail-oriented Interior Design graduate from Kean University's Michael Graves College of Architecture & Design, where she focused on building and construction methods, design psychology, and materials and finishes specifications. Her experience includes internships and roles at Capitol One/Waves, where she honed skills in organizing materials, customer service, and understanding design processes. Dominique is proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and has a strong foundation in communication and teamwork, making her a versatile professional in the interior design field.
Heather MacCuspie
PROJECT SUPPORT MANAGER
As a strategic operational leader with extensive experience in executive support and team development, Heather brings valuable expertise in organizational efficiency and project management to the team. Her background includes serving as Chief of Staff for a boutique luxury interior design firm, where she helped scale operations from a solo practice to a thriving team of professionals serving high-end residential clients across New England and Washington, D.C. As Project Support Manager, Heather leverages her experience in administration, team development, and operational organization to support the firm's continued growth while maintaining its commitment to delivering sophisticated, personalized design solutions.
Katie McDaniel
Administrator
Katie is a highly organized and personable professional with a unique blend of experience in the education and interior design fields. She supports the daily administrative operations of the firm with exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service and communication. Katie brings a versatile skillset to the Whitaker Interiors team, allowing her to provide clients, vendors, trades, and supporting teams with attentive and helpful support to address their needs. Her cheerful demeanor and professional efficiency create a welcoming experience for everyone involved in the design journey.
